All Saints Messenger - April 30, 2015

posted Apr 30, 2015, 11:41 AM by Church Secretary

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

I appeal to you in the name of All Saints Church for the deliverance of quality candidates for our Director of Music Ministries.

As most of you know our beloved music director, David Zoernig, is departing soon.  David's last Sunday with us will be Sunday, May 17th (please plan on being at All Saints this day for our 3rd Sunday Parish Luncheon and to say goodbye to our friend in Christ, David).  David and his partner are moving to Ecuador and we wish them much happiness as they continue on in this adventure called life.

We are so fortunate to have had David as our music minister these past 5+ years.  We have come to love his spirit, concern for others, love of God and musical talent.  David will be a hard gem to replace, yet we will try.

Finding a new music minister is very similar to offering a call to a new rector.  It is a process to find the person who appreciates what we appreciate and who also will push us to learn new things and expand our musical horizons.  Music speaks to each of us in many different and varied ways.  Some like the old English hymns and some prefer guitar music and others somewhere in between.  Musicians with these qualities are not easily found and that is where we need your help.

We are advertising our open position but most church musician fills come by word of mouth.  Please talk up our opening to anyone who might have contacts in the church music world and let them know of our opening.  If we all walk and breathe a living joyful advertisement we should have no problems filling our position.

During our process of search we ask for your understanding, prayers and support.

See ya Sunday!
