All Saints Messenger - August 20, 2015

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

This evening members of All Saints and The Church of the Redeemer, Shelby joined together and began a new ministry called "Tree of Life Healing Ministry" serving the lost, the marginalized, and the abandoned and often ignored.  Tonight at As-One Ministries, here in Gastonia, the worship team will hold a service of healing with Eucharist for those among us who may feel marginalized by the institutional church.

This is a ministry of the Diocese of Western North Carolina and we are hoping for participation from any and all parishes in our deanery.

This has been a vision of Deacon Anita for a number of years.  This is a first step in what we hope develops into a multi-faceted ministry here in Gaston County.

At our organizational meeting this past Monday we heard how the director, Angela, started As-One ministries out of her car clothing and feeding the homeless with her own funds.  As-One now provides food, shelter, job placement, mail reception services, and many more.  Hearing her share her story was powerful and palpable about the power of God working in peoples lives.

We ask for your prayers and participation as the team begins this new journey being the eyes, feet, hands, and heart of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

If this sounds like something you feel called to please think about joining in.

See Ya Sunday!
