All Saints Messenger - February 5, 2015

posted Feb 5, 2015, 10:08 AM by Church Secretary

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

As many of you are aware  at our Annual Meeting we initiated our "Burn the Note" campaign in the hope of eliminating our debt by the end of December 2015.  Our goal is to celebrate this event with a "Burning the Note" Liturgy on New Year's Eve.

Initial response has been very good.  Over 25 individuals and families have pledged over $23, 000 towards this effort.  Our goal is $40,000 to be debt free.  Being debt free will be a great gift for All Saints, The Kingdom, our community, and the world.  Why, you ask?  It will free us up to be able to listen more freely and intently to what God is calling us to do and be here at All Saints.

I don't have to tell you what a special place All Saints is.  It was a special place before I got here and it will be a special place long after I leave here.  It's special because the Spirit is alive here, tolerance is alive here, patience is alive here, love is alive here, healing and wholeness is alive here.  Just imagine how much more alive we could be without the debt that has limited our ministries and service in the past.

If you have not yet pledged toward this effort I  encourage you to pray about this effort and your place in it.  God has given us a very important task: to love God, serve God, and to be God's eyes, hands. and feet in the world.

See ya Sunday!

Peace & Love,

Gary+
