The music ministry of All Saints currently consists of two ensembles. The vocal choir (Saintly Singers) is a group of parishioners that come together each Wednesday for rehearsal from 7:00pm until 8:00pm. This group sings a wide variety of literature spanning the great body of sacred music that is available to us today, including simplified Anglican chant Psalm settings to the most contemporary anthems available. The “Hymnal 1982”, and “Family Song Book” are used for musical selections in the liturgy. We are fortunate to have instrumentalists that enhance our worship with guitar accompaniment on FSB selections. Throughout the church year other instrumentalists are incorporated as well. During the summer months this ensemble takes a break from Wednesday rehearsals and meets at 9:30am on Sunday mornings for a brief warm-up and rehearsal of the anthem for that day. They also sing for major feasts throughout the year such as Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and the Holy Triduum.
The bell choir (Saintly Ringers) meets on Wednesday’s and rings five to six times per year. They not only ring bell choir literature, but, at times are called on to play special parts of a choral anthem or enhance a hymn with a descant.
The music ministry is open to anyone interested. Any person who wishes to become a part of this vital All Saints ministry, please contact the Director of Music Ministries.
